Ladoos have always been my favourite sweets. Whether it is Milk powder Ladoos or Boondi ladoos, they are actually as appetising as they look.
Similarly, Boondi ladoo can make someone who has tried it for the first time to happily enjoy another one and why not, several ones.
These yellow ball-shaped ladoos surely has the taste of joy if one wants to sweeten life or celebrate a win.
What is more amazing with this ladoo, it is a symbol of family ties and celebration in Mauritius.
Whether it is Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri or Deepavali, these ladoos always create a special place in our heart.
The strong bond and best memories that Boondi Ladoos create when we prepare, share with Hindu, Muslim or Christian friends and families and feed each other with love are always heartfelt.
Deepavali is approaching and what could be better than Boondi Ladoos…
#Boondi Ladoo Recipe:

• 2 cups of sugar
• 6 cardamoms
• Cardamom powder
• 1 teaspoon of yellow Food colour
• Coconut milk powder, Raisin, Almond (optional)
Preparation of :
(a) Syrup:
Put the 1.5 cup of water with the 2 cups of sugar and cardamoms in a pan.
Let them boil together till the sugar dissolve completely.
Switch off the flame, remove the pan and keep the syrup aside.
(b) Ladoos:
Put some yellow colouring in the bowl of Besan and make a smooth batter.
Heat oil in a pan
Then, put the heated oil in medium heat.
Place a perforated ladle above the heated oil, pour and spread the batter with a spoon in the ladle making small Boondi. But, it must not be overcooked or crispy.
After it is cooked, turn off the gas and put it in a bowl.
Put the Boondi in a clean piece of cloth and squeeze out the oil from the Boondi.
Mix some cardamom powder and raisin in the Boondi.
May add some chopped boiled almond into small pieces and mix them together well with the boondi.
Then, add the syrup little by little and mix it into the mixed boondi.
Make round balls and can optionally spring some coconut powder in the round balls.
P.s: Try this taste of joy and share your experience below. Bon appetite^^
